Chicago based beach punk/lo fi punk outfit Swimsuit Addition just the other day released the single entitled Talk is Cheap. I found this surfing through bandcamp and I'm pleasantly surprised at what I found. What I found is simply put a fun, catchy and easy to move to song. Production wise this track is well put together in they lo fi/beach punk standards of recording. With distorted vocals, catchy guitars and even a nice backing percussion that is reminiscent of old beach rock. The track evokes feelings of fun, highly energetic and overall just pure enjoyment. The vocals are airy, but are fitting to the genre, and work well in concert with the instrumentals. This release from Swimsuit Addition is just another good one, and is a welcome addition to their repertoire of music that already exists. Overall this track earns itself a solid 7/10 from this blog, and I'd highly recommend checking it out!
