Sounds from the Basement: July Festivals

Here’s another month of festivals we would like you to check out. Now most of these festivals are in America but we do celebrate some festivals internationally. Also we do not mention any festivals that are huge like Bonnaroo or some major stream bullshit fest for fans of Punk, indie, metal, and hardcore.

Burger Boogaloo

This is a two day festival in Oakland, California. Burger Records are presenting this fest and also features two stages. The music is garage rock, punk, indie, and alternative. The festival takes place Mosswood Park.

Day 1 July 4

Flesh Land Stage: The Mummies, 5.6.7.8.’s, The Gories, Untamed Youth, Legendary Stardust Cowboys, Trouble Makers, Bombon.

Obscene Extreme Festival

This is a four day festival that takes in Czech Republic. This is a popular extreme metal and grindcore festival. This is the Czech’s version of Maryland Death Fest. Its from July 8 till July 12.

Motor City Fest 2015

This is a two day festival that takes place in Detroit, Michigan. This is a hardcore festival that is located in The Tangent Gallery.

Day 2 July 11

Summer of Hate 2015

This is a one day annual festival in Ohio. This is for fans of heavy hardcore and beatdown bands. The event takes on July 11 and its all ages plus it’s for free.

Lineup: Crowd Deterrent, Life After Death, I.C.D., Taste the Steel, Detriment, Race Riot 59, Mental Prison, Silverhammer, Domestic War, Presence of War, Alcon.

Gigawatts Festival 2015

This is an annual rock festival that takes place in Brooklyn, New York. This is a three festival that takes place at The Wick, The Well, and The Wicked Lady. The fest is from July 24-26 and has over 80 bands.

This is Hardcore 2015

This is an annual hardcore festival that takes place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is a four day festival and it takes place July 23- 26. The First day takes place at Union Transfer and the remaining three days are taking place at the Electric Factory. This is biggest hardcore festival in The United States.

King of Monsters Records Fest

This is a two day festival that takes place at The Nile Theater in Meza, Arizona. The two day festival is celebrating the 20^th anniversary of King of Monsters Records. This fest features a lot of punk, hardcore, powerviolence, and grindcore bands.
