Review: Place On Earth By Living Laser

Living Laser a Hardcore group from the Hudson Valley  released their latest ep “Place on Earth” on Frequency Deleted Records back in December. and blew me away. I first saw living laser a few weeks after they dropped their second full length “Find A Way” and man i was surprised to see the crazy reaction they got, someone even knocked over a part of the drums. So this band really grabbed my attention.

Now Living Laser brings this release to us in the same year as their full length, where some bands might fall flat writing material so quickly Living Laser continues to amaze me. Living laser sounds in the vein of Leeway its like they listened to Leeways “Born to Expire” LP and based their band off that, clean vocals soul crushing riffs and all around greatness. I really can say i know of no other current band today that sounds like Living Laser and that's great. Living Laser is a spectacle live there frontman is very active jumping from wall to wall bouncing around, he's one of the most enjoyable frontman in hardcore.

Place On Earth starts where their LP “Find A Way” left off hard riffs great vocals and overall a great experience. Their lyrics which are not tons and tons of words are very definitive in what they say and they always convey their message very clearly. The Tracks that stood out to me the most were Place on Earth and Barry Allen that bust in and just keep it moving but for the rest album the rest of the tracks do hold up but they feel a little lackluster compared to the rest. They put more influence into the groove which isn't bad but it slows down the album from the lighting fast pace it started at and leaves you feeling like they could have done more, but album picks right up after those tracks blasting through one track after another. The slowing down makes some of the tracks feel very forgettable, but the ones that are good are really good and really show the bands talent.

Living Laser is one of the more unique bands in the genre and continue to amaze me every time. I'm looking forward to any more releases this band puts out. Overall you should definitely check this band out they're not something to sleep on.

Overall The album was a solid 8.5/10 a great follow up to their full length

Live Performance 9.5/10 They give off a great energy from there vocalist bouncing off walls to the crowds solid reaction.
