Track Review- Jefferson's Shadow by Dryjacket

Dryjacket is a New Jersey based band that recently signed to Hopeless Records. They will be releasing an EP called "Lights, Locks, and Faucets" on the 14th of April. Giving this track a listen, I immediately thought to bands such as You Blew It or The Front Bottoms or A Great Big Pile of Leaves.
This track follows the formula of many contemporary bands in the genre by using twinkly guitars, and other instruments that are typical of the indie rock genre, such a trumpet. The vocals are strong, and I peticularly find the vocalist's voice unique, as it is not as airy or subdued as many others. It is also not as over saturated by distortion by many others. The drums are typical but give a solid beat to the track as well as the bass of which I was very enthralled with the tone. Overall, this was a very good track, and I look forward to the full EP when it drops in April. A great addition to the Hopeless Records catalog in my honest opinion.
